The ‘famous’ Vegan Festival is set to take place in Stockport this weekend.

A vegan festival that has been travelling across the country for the past 10 years is set to make its first appearance in Stockport.

The UK Vegan Festival, which includes dozens of stalls from independent traders across Britain, is set to take place on Sunday (February 9) at The Guildhall.

Victoria Bryceson, the event organiser for the Vegan Festival, said: “This is a one stop shop for all your vegan products, so everything is safe for vegans here.

“There is no need for ingredient and label checking so it’s a really convenient and easy way to shop as everything is also in one place.

“Not only will you be able to eat and shop to your stomach’s desire, but the festival will also be supporting “animal welfare charity Miracles Mission”.

Some of the stalls include Soft Serve Cartel, DevilDog sauces and Golden Glaze Doughnuts, all of which have gained popularity through social media.

Co-founder of Soft Serve Cartel, Ben Ferguson is a veteran of vegan festivals. He said: “It’s great, great times. I have been vegan now for two and a half years and I started this company because I missed Ice-cream.”

Soft Serve Cartel will be serving plant-based ice-cream that ‘tastes exactly the same, if not better than the real thing’, with plant-based toppings and sauces.
