Police issue appeal for information after Bury robbery

Greater Manchester Police are looking for information following a robbery that took place last month in Bury town centre.

On Monday, February 6, police were called to reports of a knifepoint robbery that involved two teenage boys on Angouleme Way, near the carpark at Go Outdoors.

No serious injuries were sustained, but clothing and electronic devices were taken before the two suspects are believed to have fled on the tram to Manchester City Centre.

Police want to talk to two men in connection with the alleged incident

PC Rick Flynn, from GMP’s Bury district, said: “This was a traumatic incident for the victims, and after following a number of lines of enquiry, we are in a position to appeal to the local public for information.”

It is believed that it’s an isolated incident but GMP are keen to maintain their tough stance on knife crime in the region.

GMP are looking for any information that will help to identify and then speak to the two men in question, who they think will have important information that will help with the investigation.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact 0161 856 8049 directly or 101 quoting log number 3449 of the 06/02/2023.
