Man arrested as £270k and cannabis seized from Manchester centre

A man, 30, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and money laundering.

The arrest took place following a warrant issued at a city centre flat on Owen Street, Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) seized a large amount of money from cupboards and safe boxes around the premises.

A further address on Albion Street was identified and large amounts of cannabis were located. 

The officers were supported by XCalibre equipment whilst investigating in the city centre and this led to the recovery of a Range Rover Sport and an Audi RS4.  

Greater Manchester police have stated that the intelligence which leads to the disruption of serious and organised crime is vital to protect the community and vunerable people.  

The police have stated that people should contact the Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or the Greater Manchester Police via 101.
