Manchester is opening its first indoor padel club right in time for the winter months

The racquet sport of padel is currently one of the most exciting sports and it is making its way to Manchester.

Pure Padel is Manchester’s very first indoor padel club and it is opening this Autumn. The club is set to be right in the centre of Manchester, and only a 10-minute walk from Manchester Victoria train station.

Padel is experiencing an incredible rise in stardom at the moment, with some of the most famous people in the world seen playing, like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Louis Telford, a professional wheelchair padel player said: “The growth of padel in the UK needs to grow, we need a bit more support”.

“For the past 2 years it’s been the fastest growing sport and if we continue playing that the wheelchair game will follow”.

Pure Padel is not the first padel club in Manchester, but it is the first club based solely indoors as it is preparing for the inevitable rainy weather.

The club will be based at Dutton Street in Cheetham Hill. The venue will offer six panoramic padel courts, a pro-padel shop, a bistro-style café and bar, fully equipped changing rooms with showers, plus a raised mezzanine viewing platform overlooking a show court. Free on-site parking and Wi-Fi will also be available to customers.
