A children’s charity from Manchester is appealing for donations to help with gifts for children from struggling families.
Wood Street Mission is a charity working to help children up to the age of 14 and families on low incomes from Greater Manchester and Salford with receiving a gift this Christmas.
Fundraiser officer, Emma Lowe spoke about the importance of this appeal.
“I have worked with Wood Street Mission for over a year now, and last year, we managed to receive nearly 4.000 donations, she stated.
“I think this is so important because you will be making the Christmas of struggling families across Manchester and Salford that little easier.”
Lowe also explained that people do not have to donate just physical gifts as they are able to recieve donations via their website.
“A little goes a long way, donate what you can to make someone’s Christmas more special.” she said
The charity is accepting donations until the 9th of December.
