Popular garden centre Dobbies has announced the closure to 17 locations across the UK – including in Altrincham.
Dobbies confirmed that 465 jobs will be impacted by the decision. The cuts come amid reports of the company reporting a £130 million loss.
“I started here when I was 15, and I never left. The manager’s going to help us sort a CV before we all go” said one worker who would be losing his job due to the Altrincham closure.
