Manchester musician Alex Spencer is just 17 but has been handpicked from a global line-up to contribute to the soundtrack for the new EA FC 25.
His song Nightmares will be included in the game after it became a TikTok sensation gaining support from across the world.
He released the song in May and little more than three months later, he was picked to be heard alongside renowned artists such as Billie Eilish, Ice Spice and Twenty-One Pilots on the new EA FC 25 game.
Alex, from Droylsden, said: “I can’t process it. It’s been my dream since a little kid. First it was obviously having a character in the game as a footballer and now getting my song in FIFA – it’s crazy.
“I got invited to the London launch event and we met loads of footballers like Eric Cantona and Gareth Bale. I got my music across to everyone and they were all super excited.”
A large part of Alex’s song Nightmares is spoken in Spanish and that is because his mum is Spanish.
Alex said: “I’ve learnt it my whole life and thought let’s write a bit of Spanish in the song and that’s what FIFA seems to be about.”
FIFA is known for having a very broad soundtrack possessing songs from artists no matter the nation so Alex being able to sing in multiple languages was definitely a big factor in his song being as popular as it is.
Alex has just finished his first headline tour across England hitting cities like Liverpool, Leeds, London and of course his home city of Manchester. He will be returning for more festivals in October 2025 but is planning more music and gigs in the meantime.
